About McElhatton
Mission Statement
Our School
The central focus of the McElhatton School is the instruction of correct technique and the traditions of Irish Dance in a supportive and disciplined environment.
Each student receives individually tailored instruction within a group setting. Our students compete at feisanna (Irish Dance competitions) and are given opportunities to dance publicly.
Our Instructor:
Monica McElhatton, T.C.R.G., is a qualified Irish Dance teacher. She is a registered member of An Coimisiun le Rinci Gaelacha — The Irish Dancing Commission: Dublin, Ireland and both the Western Canada Irish Dancing Teachers Association and the Irish Dancing Teachers Association of North America.
Monica is highly passionate about teaching Irish Dance. She successfully completed the T.C.R.G. exam in Dublin in 2003 and launched the McElhatton School of Irish Dancing in the same year. Monica is also a high school English teacher and the mother of four children.
